We still don’t have power, but my neighbor has a generator. The neighborhood smells like poop, baby poop that is. The worst kind.
Naples is on a curfew. Lol
Btw I evacuated to West Palm Saturday around noon and got back Tuesday evening. –> https://f2sfl.com/theirmamovie2017
Yesterday’s casual tropical storm damaged the mid-garden fence. It’s gone now.
Today we picked up some new succulents from Orchard down the street. If you kill a plant, you can bring it back for a 100% refund. If you’re a member, you don’t even need a receipt. #thefuture
Pool toys and grassy paws.
Hot summer nights, y’all.
The rain showed up right on time for a post-planting water job.
Madelene’s passion vine + new cacti > chain link fence.
Don’t hate me for putting the cranberry lemonade hibiscus in the corner. It’s sugarcane adjacent.
Bananas in the back! Get up and Gogi bush on the mid-garden fence.
OK, it’s about time to hit up my backyard’s backyard for another SWFL sunset. 🙂
This week I went to ECHO Global Farm in Ft. Myers. Aaron and Jack helped me pick out some new fruits and vegetables to grow in my backyard.
The ECHO Tour is one of my favorite Southwest Florida special things to do. It’s right up there with Sushi Thai’s dinner special and Clyde Butcher’s backyard.
Check out my new future edible landscaping:
- Banana tree
- Gogi berry bush
- Sugar cane
- Cranberry hibiscus (hellooooo cranberry lemonade.)
Feel free to contact me directly if you need more information about Sushi Thai’s dinner special. It’s unbelievable.
Welcome to my backyard.
This is my blog where I post about what really matters most in life: gardening and dogs.
…and food, naturally.
Check out my sunflowers.
Food falls out of them!
Stay tuned for more from Ashley and Jay…
